A pair of coin tosses at the District 6-AAA tournament meeting on Monday determined the seeding fate of both Rhea County High School Eagle basketball teams on Monday.
Both Rhea coin flips were lost, which means the Lady Eagles will be a No. 3 seed headed into the district tournament and the Eagles will be a No. 6 seed.
On the road Friday, the Lady Eagles held on to beat the Cookeville Lady Cavaliers 53-49, while the Cavs pulled away in the second half to hand the Eagles a 72-46 loss. The win sealed the regular season district championship for the Cookeville guys.
