RCHS Lady Eagles’ Jessee Wallis fires a 3-pointer during the Lady Eagles’ win over Sequatchie County on Monday. Wallis led all scorers with 20 points in the 64-27 win over the Ooltewah Lady Owls on Tuesday.
The Rhea County High School basketball teams split games with Ooltewah High School in non-district action on Tuesday, as the Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Owls 64-27 and the Eagles were downed 69-40 by the Owls.

Led by Jessee Wallis with 20 points for the game, the Lady Eagles jumped out to a 16-10 first quarter lead and led 28-15 at the break.'
“We struggled early with our intensity level, but were able to play at a high energy level for most of the night, which helped us generate turnovers and get some easy looks,” said Lady Eagles’ head coach Shane Johnston. “A better effort tonight from a total team perspective. We still have to get the consistent rebounding issues fixed, but it was better tonight.
