The Rhea County High School [RCHS] Eagle basketball teams officially opened the season with a pair of wins over the Sequatchie County High School Indians on Monday, as the Lady Eagles easily won 55-37 while the Eagles came from behind to win 67-57.

Amber Levi bolted out of the gate in the opening quarter by knocking down three of her four 3-pointers of the night and added a bucket for the Lady Eagles, giving Rhea a 21-7 advantage at the end of the first period.
“Sequatchie County gave us all we wanted tonight and I am proud of our kids for battling,” said Lady Eagles’ head coach Shane Johnston. “Amber [Levi] had a really good night offensively, but her defense was solid as well.
