Christmas Toy & Coat Drive — A Toy and Coat Drive is being held from now until Dec. 15. Donations of toys, coats and non-perishable food iteam may be dropped off at Burke’s Outlet, Cash Express, Magic Touch Cleaners, Papa John’s, Shoe Sensation and Tan-n-City. Items will be dispersed through the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department to deserving families in the community.
Spring City Toys for Children Drive — The Spring City Toys for Children drive is currently accepting applications until Dec. 7 at 4:30 p.m. Applications may be picked up at City Hall or the Cash Express office. Donations are being accepted and toy drop boxes are available at local businesses. An angel tree will be set up at First Bank. The deadline for returning angel tree gifts is Dec. 7. Spring City American Legion Post 203 Meeting (11/21) — Spring City American Legion Post 203 will have their regular monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a covered dish dinner. Post 203 meets on the third Thursday of each month. Call 423-667-5060 for more information.
Book Signing at Clyde W. Roddy Library (11/21 & 22) — Christian author Teresa Anderson Littell will be at the Clyde W. Roddy Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 6 to 8 to sell and autograph copies as well as read excerpts from her book “Trust in His Glory” She will be also be signing copies on Friday, Nov. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Ken Yager Benefit Chili Supper (11/22) — A chili supper honoring Tennessee State Senator Ken Yager will be held Friday, Nov. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 with preschool-age children admitted free. A silent auction will also be held to benefit various charities.
RCHS Theater Class Performs “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” (11/22 & 23) — The Rhea County High School Theater Class will hold a performance of their fall play, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 7 p.m. Door open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $2 for students, $5 for adults and free for children six and under.
Fly-In, Drive-In Breakfast (11/23) — The Civil Air Patrol will host a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Mark Anton Municipal Airport on Saturday, Nov. 23. The all-you-can-eat cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The event will be held rain or shine.
United Daughters of the Confederacy Meeting (11/23) — The John Quincy Adams Shaver Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy will meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Spring City. Tyler Sneed Memorial Coon Hunt (11/23) — The Tyler Sneed Memorial Coon Hunt will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Rhea County Fair Grounds in Evensville beginning at 5 p.m. with a chili supper. Walden’s Ridge Community Center Dinner & Meeting (11/26) — The Walden’s Ridge Community Center will host a covered dish meal and informational meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6 p.m.
Community Thanksgiving Meal (11/28) — A Community Thanksgiving meal will be available for pickup on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Dayton. Pikeville Christmas Parade (11/30) — Pikeville, Tenn. will hold their annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m. CST. Line-up for the parade will begin at 3 p.m. at the walking track. Call Jane Wooden at 322-0932 for more information.

Christmas Open House at Audrey Pack Memorial Library (12/7) — The Audrey Pack Memorial Library in Spring City will hold their annual Christmas Open House on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. until noon. the open house will feature free pictures with Santa Claus, children’s crafts, homemade holiday refreshments and an angel necklace and stuffed children’s stocking to be given away.
Spring City Christmas Parade (12/14) — The annual Spring City Christmas Parade will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, along Front Street.
