The safety of a historic Dayton neighborhood has again been called into question after an attempt by the Generations/Gaither Group to house a patient from the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute in Chattanooga went awry, according to law enforcement officials.
On Tuesday, Oct. 15, law enforcement officers were called to one of the group homes near downtown Dayton regarding a patient making violent threats, according to Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Mike Owenby.
