Story Hour at Clyde W. Roddy Library — The Clyde W. Roddy Library, located on 1st Avenue in Dayton, will hold a children’s story hour every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.

Fly-In, Drive-In Breakfast (9/28) — The Civil Air Patrol will host a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Mark Anton Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 28. The all-you-can-eat cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The event will be held rain or shine.
Benefit Concert for Matthew Wilson (9/28) — There will be a benefit concert for Matthew Wilson and his family on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Centennial Park in downtown Dayton. Concert is free, but donations will be accepted. Appearing at the concert will be Danny Shirley of Confederate Railroad, Roger Alan Wade, The Other Guys and Carrie Hassler. Matthew was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis Disease several months ago.
Music & Chili Benefit (9/28) — A music and chili benefit will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Spring City Red Dog Field beginning at 5 p.m. to assist with funeral expenses for longtime Spring City resident Clifford Holloway. The benefit will include a raffle drawing, cake sale, a dunking booth, face painting and more. Featured musical acts will include Tate Fugate, Jason Lancaster, Jeff Logsdon and Dandy Gillian and Drake Taylor. A special appearance by George Thacker is scheduled.
