The Rhea County High School Eagle Anglers are in the process of
assembling their fourth competitive bass fishing team. The Eagle Anglers are a group of young people
who love to fish, and are open to Rhea County students in grades 6 -12. If you are interested in

The anglers will kick off the fall fishing season on Watts Bar Lake out of the
Spring City Boat Dock on Sept. 21. On Sept. 28, the group will be fish Lake Chickamauga out of the
Dayton Boat Dock. Both of these tournaments will be from safe light to 3 p.m. On Oct. 5,
the Eagle Anglers will travel to Chickamauga Dam to fish against Silverdale Baptist Academy.
Weigh-in will be at 2 p.m., and will travel to the Sportsman’s Warehouse for awards and food

The Rhea County High School Lady Eagle basketball team is sponsoring a celebrity
serve at BIMBO’s restaurant on Monday, Sept. 23, from 5-9 p.m. All tips received that night
will go to the Lady Eagle Basketball Booster Club. Members of the Lady Eagle basketball team will
serve as greeters, hostesses, and waitresses for each guest that night. Come enjoy a great
meal and be treated to wonderful service from the Lady Eagles.
Also, at each home football and
basketball game between now and December 21, you can find the Lady Eagle Basketball Booth/table and
see the donated NFL jerseys and make a donation to Lady Eagle Basketball. Each donation will
give you an opportunity to win one of the jerseys. The winners of the jerseys will be announced
during the final night of the Eagle Holiday Hoops Tournament on Saturday, December 21, between the
girls’ and boys’ championship games. You do not have to be present to win. NFL
jerseys include Tom Brady, Andrew Luck, RGIII, and Ben Roethlisberger.

Basketball League is currently looking for coaches that want to teach basketball fundamentals and
help sow into the lives of children. If you are potentially interested in this tremendous

The Women’s Care Center of Rhea County will host its annual Walk for Life and will
also host a Color Me Life 5K fun run through downtown Dayton on Saturday, Sept. 28. The fun run will
start at 7:30 a.m., with the Walk for Life starting at 10 a.m. For more information or to register

Rhea County High School JROTC Alumni Association will hold a
golf tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at the Tennessee Hills Golf Club. It is an
eighteen-hole select shot starting at 3 p.m. EST. There will be a shotgun
start. Spaces for eleven foursomes are available. Cost is $300 per team or $75

The Tennessee Hills Golf Club will host a 9-hole potluck select shot
tournament on Sunday, Sept. 29, with tee off set for 2:30 p.m. EST. Call 423-447-2304 no later than
1:30 p.m. EST on Sept. 29, to register.
Please sign up early if you plan on playing so organizers
may plan for food and you are insured a spot. Organizers understand circumstances change and you may
have to withdraw, but everyone is welcome, including kids, ladies, old timers and young limber
Guest green fee with a cart is $15, with a $5 prize/expense fee and $1 closest to
the pin fee. Bring your favorite dish or pay $5 to eat barbecue chicken. Please advise if you plan
on bringing a dish and if you are planning to eat or not.
Teams to be arranged by management,
couples may play together and kids can play with parents. Try not to make a whole team from family,
as the idea is to meet and play with different people.

are), just have a great day enjoying the game and companionship.
