Community Children’s and Youth Choir Auditions (8/29) — Auditions will be held for the Bryan College Community Children’s and Youth Choir on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 4 p.m. in the chorale room of Rudd Auditorium. The Children’s Choir is open to fourth through eighth graders and the Youth Choir is open to ninth through 12th graders. A $25 per semester fee is required from participants in both choirs and Youth Choir members are also required to pay a one-time uniform fee. Daddy-Daughter Dance to Benefit American Cancer Society (8/31) — A Daddy-Daughter Dance will be held at Spring City Elementary School on Saturday, Aug. 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Early registration cost is $10 and at the door registration cost is $15. Benefit Bake & Yard Sale (8/31) — A benefit bake and yard sale will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, beginning at 8 a.m. across from the Rhea EMS (Ambulance) station on Rhea County Highway. The sale is organized by the Rhea Medical Center ER and the Rhea EMS to benefit cancer patient Bob Hensley, husband of paramedic Cindy Hensley.

Graysville Fall Festival Pageant Deadline (9/13) — The deadline for the 2013 Graysville Fall Festival Pageant is Sept. 13. Entries are $10 per contestant in one of eight categories. A minimum of three contestants must be entered in a category for that category to be included in the pageant.
