Bless the Lord . . . who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever (Psalm 104:1-5).
This Psalm is a lyrical dramatization of the first chapter of Genesis, but this does not change the fact of it. The account of creation is so bound up in all of the Bible that to deny it in all or in part is to reject the veracity of the Bible itself. Even without the first chapter of Genesis, the Bible would still be a strong witness to this truth of how everything came to be. No one could truly say he believes the Bible who denies this creation relation.
