Ideal Valley residents may have to wait a little longer before
receiving water from Spring City after the city commission voted on Thursday to reject a previously
approved bid for the water line extension project. The project was awarded to Norris Brothers
Excavating LLC for a low-bid cost of nearly $495,000 in July; however, city commissioners voted to
reject the company's proposal after city officials noticed "discrepancies" between the company's
proposal and the city's bid specifications.
