If you or someone you love has health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, chronic bronchitis, high blood pressure or other chronic diseases, the Living Well with Chronic Conditions workshop can help you take control of your life.
The University of Tennessee Extension in partnership with the East Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability and East Tennessee Regional Health Department invites you to participate in this self-management workshop designed to help you put life back into your life.
· Manage your symptoms
· Communicate better with your doctor, family members and friends
· Lessen your anger and frustration
· Fight fatigue and pain
· Build confidence
· Manage stress and learn to relax
· Discover better nutrition and exercise choices
· Manage medications
· Get more out of your life
The six-week, two- hour sessions will be held Aug. 7, Aug. 14, Aug. 21, Aug. 28, Sept. 4 and Sept. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in the community room of Goodwill, which is located at 200 Abel Drive, Suite 100 in Dayton.
This is a free course. Registration is required and space is limited to 20. Registration deadline is July 31. Please call or stop by the UT Extension Office and register at 775-7807. The office is located behind the courthouse in Dayton.
