The Dayton City Council held a special-called meeting on Thursday and approved the application for a grant to pave city streets and the hiring of a consultant to oversee the project.
Dayton City Manager Frank Welch explained the project to the council members and said that the paving grant funds will be a 80/20 match, with the city paying 20 percent of the funds.
