Every time I see our American flag, or hear the pledge to that
flag, I am reminded that we are indebted to those who were and are willing to fight for the freedom
we all have in the United States of America. From the beginning of our country’s history,
our ancestors have fought for the right to be free and to protect our homeland. Since we are
approaching the Memorial Day holiday, we should honor the men and women who not only died while in
military service, but who have served and are presently serving in the military. I believe
that we need to honor all our veterans, living or dead.
