This month, I am taking my first step toward making a lifelong dream come true. I am going back to college to finally get my degree. Yes, at 40-hundred-years-old, I am a college senior with a 3.5 GPA and a mission – to eliminate the biggest regret of my life…not finishing college.
When I graduated from Rhea County High School, I packed my bags and went to Tennessee Tech. I loved Tech. First, one of their school colors is purple (which could explain why I love that color to this day). Second, the Sigma Chi house was my home-away-from-home with Shaw Daddy, Sam, Mark, Phil, Drex and the boys. Third, I had the best job ever with the best bosses ever working as a pharmacy technician for Roger and Jim. Oh, yes, and I made good grades and loved my classes (especially Dr. Patrick Reagan’s Honors American History class).
