The chronic erosion problems plaguing state-owned and maintained Highway 68 on Grandview Mountain have come to a head and have spurred local elected officials to plead with the state to fix the highway.
“[Highway 68] is going to slide off the mountain,” Rhea County Executive George Thacker said. “It’s only a matter of time.”
