Rhea County native Cory Gearrin has made his presence known in
the professional baseball world since 2007 when he first began his career in the minor leagues for
the Atlanta Braves’ organization.
Gearrin, a right-handed middle relief pitcher, has worked
his way up through the ranks with his hard work, preparation and determination through the years.

Philadelphia Phillies on Monday as on official member of the Atlanta Braves’ active 25-man
“My first opening day in Atlanta was a pretty cool experience,” Gearrin said.
