Three teenage fishermen ultimately had to be rescued on Sunday after being stuck in mud for nearly three hours, according to officials with the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department [RCSD].
RCSD Chief Deputy John Argo said his department received a call at around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday that three anglers were stuck in the water and mud in the Rattan area of the Frazier community.
