Hundreds of spectators were present to witness the opening day festivities of a home track and field event at Rhea County High School [RCHS] on Saturday, where the Golden Eagle boys and girls’ teams both claimed second-place honors out of five teams.

Cleveland placed first in the boys and girls, while Soddy-Daisy grabbed a third-place award on both sides as well.  McMinn Central finished fourth in the girls and fifth in the boys and Walker Valley finished fourth in the boys’ scoring and fifth in the girls.
