Shedding Cabin Fever: Finding new activities and getting back to old ones

After being stuck in the house for the last few months, with only an occasional warm day to venture outside, cabin fever is at an all-time high at our house. To keep myself from climbing the walls and driving my husband crazy, I have become an obsessed crafter. I have just added two new items to my list, which for about the last year making cupcakes has been the main focus of my attention. Now I have added ribbon sculpture and decorated cookies to my list.

I guess my husband knew I had sort-of gone over the edge when I was on the hunt for new cookie cutters the whole weekend we spent in Gatlinburg. Bless his heart!  So between cookie cutters, ribbon and cupcake wrappers I am sure Hobby Lobby’s stock has had a major spike. (Might be a good time to invest in their stock!) Of course, I always use a coupon on anything that’s not on sale and if it’s 30 percent off, they will change it to 40 percent off if I have a coupon. I think knowing I get it on sale is the one thing that helps my husband deal with my newest addictions! I don’t think there are recovery groups for crafters — which really is too bad because I could bring some really yummy and cute cupcakes and cookies.
