Eagle Anglers - All students in the Rhea County School system that enjoy fishing are encouraged to see what the Eagle Anglers are all about.  This is their third season and there are 34 student anglers already to fish when the season started on Feb. 23 at Chickamauga Lake, out of Blue Water RV Resort and Marina in Dayton.   Weigh-in will be promptly at 3 p.m. each week. The next Eagle Angler event is scheduled for Saturday, March 9, as they will be fishing out of the Rhea Springs boat ramp in Spring City.  Weigh-in will be at 3 p.m.

On Thursdays, starting March 7 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Rhea Central Elementary School, K-3rd grade boys and girls are invited to attend a basketball skill development workshop hosted by Lebron Herd.  The cost is $10 per session and is a come and go opportunity.  Athletes will get skill instruction and scrimmage opportunities in each workout.  For more information contact Lebron Herd at 423-618-2647.

Professional Great South Championship Wrestling is coming to the National Guard Armory in Dayton, located at 222 Manufacturers Road in Dayton.  The bell time on Saturday, March 9, will be at 7 p.m. and gates will open at 6:30 p.m.  Admission for adults is $7 and $5 for kids.  Kids five and under get in free.
Individual matches include:  Darrel Fargo versus Jake Fargo; Pyro vs. The Moondog; Robert Blade vs. Night Train.  The tag team match includes Robbie Lee Jordan and Platinum versus Noah Richards and Tate Fugate.  The big main event, where falls count anywhere, will feature Johnny Deacon versus Josh Frozt.
