On Tuesday, members of the Rhea County Commission voted to keep a proposed wheel tax on the table that would be used to balance the county budget.

In a 6-2 vote, commissioners opted to hold off on considering the tax, with some commissioners saying they would like to hold a town hall meeting with their constituents before considering the tax.
