For the first time in his career, Rhea County High School heavyweight wrestler Daniel Cochran competed in the TSSAA state tournament, which took place in Franklin, Tenn., from Feb. 14 to Feb. 16.
“It was a great experience to have, especially me going in as a junior,” Cochran said. “Being with the other great competitors and being on the same level as them helped me learn that I need to improve for next year and what area I need to improve in. It just helped me all around as a wrestler.”
