Rhea matmen hit region

Four of Rhea County High School’s best wrestlers took the mat at the Region 3-AAA tournament held at William Blount High School on Friday and Saturday to determine the top four placeholders in each of the 14 weight classes.

Daniel Cochran, Brandon Crowe, Kevin Hood and Chris Simmons represented RCHS in the double elimination tourney.  Cochran finished in fourth place and qualified for the state tournament, while Crowe and Simmons were just one win away from qualifying.  Hood was just two wins away.
