The Dayton City Council received a petition with 88 signatures of citizens wishing the board would not change the zoning for property in the Mountain View section of Dayton.

The council held a public hearing about a proposed change from residential one [R-1] to residential two [R-2] for an area bordered by Old Graysville Road, Lilac Avenue, Sequoia Street and Magnolia Avenue along with two corner lots on Pine Street and Magnolia.
