Yager skeptical of Obamacare funding

Looking ahead to the upcoming legislative session of the Tennessee General Assembly, State Sen. Ken Yager, R-Harriman, said state lawmakers will have to watch the implementation of the Affordable Healthcare Act, or Obamacare, “very closely.”

TennCare officials have said that the federal health reform law, which mandates that most people must carry health insurance, could cost the state up to $1.4 billion in its first 5 years, with the majority of those costs resulting in increased TennCare enrollment.
