The new year has not been kind to the Rhea County High School basketball teams as their woes continued with two heartbreaking losses to Walker Valley at home on Tuesday, which marked three losses in a row for both teams.  The Lady Eagles were edged 54-51 and the Eagles fell 61-54.

So far in 2013, the Lady Eagles have lost to the fifth-ranked Bradley Central Bearettes and have battled in the last two games with Cleveland and Walker Valley and only lost by four points combined.
