The 108th session of the Tennessee General Assembly is officially underway after local legislators State Rep. Ron Travis, R-Dayton, and State Sen. Ken Yager, R-Harriman, were sworn-in in Nashville on Tuesday.

Travis said legislators are looking to build upon the previous session that saw “government spending cut from the budget, taxes cut for all Tennesseans, measures passed to encourage job growth and numerous government reforms.”
