Jail project could close Court Street

The Dayton City Council discussed the possibility of closing Court Street in downtown Dayton during their monthly meeting on Monday.

Acting on a request by Rhea County Executive George Thacker, the council considered the impact of closing the thoroughfare as part of plans for the possible expansion of the Rhea County Jail.
