Sweatbees fall at Rockwood tourney

The Dayton City School (DCS) Sweatbees skated past the Oliver Springs Bobcats 39-28 in the first round of the Rockwood Middle School Christmas Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 27, but then were eliminated after falling to Knox Carter Middle 48-16 on Friday and Midway 52-30 on Saturday.

The Sweatbees will play four makeup games starting with Spring City Middle at home on Monday, Jan. 7, beginning at 5 p.m.  They travel to Athens Middle on Tuesday, Jan. 8, and start at 5 p.m.  On Thursday, Jan. 10, they will play the home school team at Bryan College.  DCS will conclude the week by hosting Wartburg on Saturday, Jan. 11, with action beginning at 1 p.m.
