The Dayton City School (DCS) Lady Sweatbees fell for the first time this season but captured the championship at the Rockwood Christmas Tournament by knocking off the Harriman Lady Blue Devils 34-18 on Saturday and improved to 16-1 on the season.

Earlier in the tourney, the Lady Sweatbees edged Oliver Springs by one point in round one on Thursday and squeaked by Harriman 32-28 in game two on Friday.

DCS headed to the semifinal game against Oneida on Saturday unblemished. With a double elimination format to the tournament, the Lady Sweatbees knew their day could be a long one that included playing three games.
