Alleged New Year's Day arson burns Dayton home

A Dayton man has been charged with arson after he allegedly set fire to his girlfriend's home in the early morning on New Year's Day, according to county law enforcement officials.

Billy Gene Coleman Jr., 23, of Denton Lane in Dayton, was charged with arson as well as resisting arrest, public intoxication and assault on an officer following the incident.
