Eagles fall to Hixson

The Rhea County High School boys' basketball team opened up the Wildcat Classic at Hixson High School on Thursday with the host of the tournament, the Hixson Wildcats.

On Nov. 20, the Eagles traveled, battled and handed the Wildcats a 9-point loss in the non-district contest.  This time, Hixson's Deonte` Smith had a better answer for Rhea, as he scored 23 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in the 63-49 win for the Wildcats.
