At a county school board meeting on Thursday, board member Bill
Davault claimed that fellow board member Chip Pendergrass was violating state ethics laws by
allowing PECO Electric, of which Pendergrass is a minority owner, to perform work on high school
renovations.
However, Pendergrass and 12th Judicial District Attorney General Mike Taylor
said the matter had already been settled in February before PECO Electric began work on the
facility, and the state attorney general determined that Pendergrass was not in
violation.
