Eagles fall to Cherokees

Jalen Smith had his second-highest point total of the season of 28 for the Rhea County High School Golden Eagles' basketball team but was not enough to overcome the McMinn County High School Cherokees.  The Eagles fought to end on Tuesday but eventually lost 50-47.

Eagle head coach Mike Phillips described the game as a definite advancement in overall execution in comparison from the Soddy-Daisy win on Friday and believes the team got better.
