In an old familiar rivalry game with Soddy-Daisy, nothing is gained easily for the Rhea County High School boys' basketball team as the Eagles pulled away late to win 50-37 over the Trojans on Friday.

After starting the season with five road games, the Eagles were more than happy to host the home opener and get the district win.

"It's a night of firsts," said Eagles' head coach Mike Phillips.  "It's my first District 5-AAA win and it's the team's first home game and a win.  It's a night of firsts."
