School bus driver charged with assault on student

A school bus driver for the Rhea County education system has been charged with assault and has been dismissed, according to local law enforcement and school system officials.

Benjamin Nelson Stone, 50, of Dayton, has been charged with assault due to an incident that occurred on bus No. 1 on Wednesday, according to a Rhea County Sheriff's Department report.
