Following county school board member Patrick Fisher's arrest on Monday,
Dec. 3, the future of his service on the school board is still unknown.
Fisher
was charged with possession of both a Schedule II and Schedule IV
controlled substance as well as driving under the influence of an
intoxicant and possession of a weapon while under the influence of an
intoxicant.
Rhea County School Board Chair B.J. McCoy said he
could not comment on the incident since it is a legal matter but
confirmed that under state law, the board cannot remove Fisher from
office.
