The Spring City Commission approved the second reading of a water rate hike for North Rhea Utility District [NRUD] at a special-called meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15.
The first reading passed at the commission's monthly meeting on Thursday, Nov. 1.
City officials increased the price at which the city sells water to NRUD from $1.79 per 1,000 gallons to $5.09 per 1,000 gallons.
