Local fans meet the Eagles and support cause: Eagles raise money

New Rhea County boys' basketball coach Mike Phillips says he always strives to find an opportunity to instill in his teams the value of "giving back" to the community. Phillips' teams have long been widely respected for their emphasis on service and significant contributions to charity.

In his first year coaching at RCHS, Phillips got the ball rolling at last week's Meet the Eagles night when the Eagle basketball teams were able to raise $468 to donate to the Jimmy V foundation for Cancer Research.
