Law enforcement officials are currently searching for a missing 60-year-old Texas man whose vehicle was found abandoned on Breedenton Ferry Road in east Rhea County.
On Saturday morning, a deputy with the Rhea County Sheriff's Department found an abandon 2007 Honda near a boat ramp in the Yuchi Wildlife Refuge area.
According to a report on file at the sheriff's department, the car was unlocked with the keys still in the ignition. Deputies said an Apple iPhone was also found in the front seat and what appeared to be a "newer set of golf clubs" in the trunk.
Nearly 10 feet away from the vehicle, deputies also found a blanket on the ground. Law enforcement officials traced the car to Thomas Lloyd Snow of Houston, Texas. After contacting Snow's family members in Texas, the report states that Snow was last reported to be at a Holiday Inn in Knoxville.
