Cobb trial set to begin Tuesday

State Rep. Jim Cobb is set to go to trial Tuesday to face allegations of assault stemming from an Election Day incident during the primaries on Aug. 2.

The Rhea County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Cobb in October after hearing enough evidence to charge the state lawmaker.

The charges stem from an incident at the Frazier polling location at Frazier Elementary School on Aug. 2.
