SCES teacher recieves national recognition

Spring City Elementary School teacher Kimberly Jones has been honored as a finalist in Tennessee for the 2012 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, a federal award given to teachers in each state.

Jones was a finalist with two other teachers, Amber Hodge, from Annoor Academy in Knoxville and Amy Mitchell, from Manley Elementary from Morristown, Tenn., in the elementary mathematics.
