The Rhea Central Elementary School Lady Yellow Jackets seem to be picking up steam just at the right time - heading into next week's Sequatchie Valley Conference postseason tournament.

The Lady Jackets stung the Sequatchie County Middle School Lady Braves 41-17 Monday night, improving their seaosn record to 6-10.

Leading the swarm was eighth grader Kelsey Miles, who drained 10 points on the night, followed by Megan Revis with eight and Amber Levi's six-point performance.

Rhea Central's girls were four of six from the foul line in the contest.

Meanwhile, the RCES boys blistered Sequatchie 36-19.

Chad Arnold topped the Rhea Central scorecard with eight points, followed by Austin Dotson, Zach Schaffer and Bryce Keylon with six points apiece.

The Yellow Jackets are now 3-13.

Rhea Central is slated to play a makeup game at Dayton City School on Wednesday at 4 and 5 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets' boys JV is now 9-1, while the girls are 8-2.
