Rhea students spend a day down on the farm during Farm/City Day
TASTE TEST Christine Maentz brought not only her pigmy goats for a petting zoo at the Rhea County Fair, but also this young dromedary camel. This 20-month-old, 900-pound youngster stands six feet tall at the hump and will grow to be seven and a half to eight feet tall. Maentz has only owned the camel for a week, and it is the only such animal in Rhea County. Maentz said she plans to train the camel for riding. Above, the camel tries to sneak an extra treat from Maentz. (Herald-News photos by Tiffany Soyster)
