A home on Old Washington Highway (State Highway 30) was considered a complete loss as a woodstove flared up when a resident accidentally threw an accelerant into the stove, according to a Rhea County Fire Department report.
The house was set on fire Friday and firefighters from Frazier, Dayton, Wolf Creek and Evensville fire districts all responded to the scene with 20 emergency service personnel.
