Friends of Audrey Pack Memorial Library Silent Auction (11/4-6) — The Friends of the Audrey Pack Memorial Library silent auction will end at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Bids may be placed during the library’s regular hours. All proceeds will be used to benefit the library and its programs. For further information stop by the library or call 365-9757.
Art Class at ArtCrafters (11/8) — ArtCrafters on Market Street in Dayton, will host a kids art class on Friday, Nov. 8, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sally Flemming will teach how to create a Christmas tree painting using tissue paper. Call ArtCrafters at 775-1401 for more information.
American Legion Post 203 Cookout for St. Jude’s (11/9) — American Legion Post 203 in Spring City will hold a cookout benefiting St. Jude’s on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plates cost $7 and include hamburger with all the fixings, baked beans, potato salad, drink and desert.
Dayton Order of the Eastern Star #360 Fund Raiser (11/9) — Dayton Order of the Eastern Star #360 will hold their annual Chili Supper and Auction fund raiser on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Dayton Lodge #512, located at 310 Second Avenue in Dayton. The chili supper will begin at 5 p.m. and will be followed by an auction. Chili supper tickets are $7 and may be purchased at the door or in advance. American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Day (11/9) — On Saturday, Nov. 9, the American Legion Auxiliary will be at Bi-Lo in Dayton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with poppies. “Poppy Day” is important to keeping alive the memory of those who have given their lives in war.” Everyone is encouraged to stop by and show their support.
Audrey Pack Memorial Library Closed for System Upgrade (11/11-14) — The Audrey Pack Memorial Library will be closed from Monday, Nov. 11, to Thursday, Nov. 14, as the library switches to a new circulation program. The library will reopen on Friday, Nov. 15.

Daughters of the American Revolution (11/14) — The Rhea Craig Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Thursday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m. in the Sweetwater Library. The program, “Under Age Boy Soldiers in the Civil War,” will be presented by meeting hostess, Mrs. Jo Watson.
Fall Book Talk Series at Clyde W. Roddy Library (11/19) — The Clyde W. Roddy Public Library will discuss “Bootlegger’s Daughter” by Margaret Maron on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m. Copies of the book are available at the library for check out. Call 775-8406 for more information.

Ken Yager Benefit Chili Supper (11/22) — A chili supper honoring Tennessee State Senator Ken Yager will be held Friday, Nov. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 with pre-school-age children admitted free. A silent auction will also be held to benefit various charities.
RCHS Theater Class Performs “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” (11/22 & 23) — The Rhea County High School Theater Class will hold a performance of their fall play, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” on Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23, beginning at 7 p.m. Door open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $2 for students, $5 for adults and Free for children six and under.
Fly-In, Drive-In Breakfast (11/23) — The Civil Air Patrol will host a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Mark Anton Municipal Airport on Saturday, Nov. 23. The all-you-can-eat cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. The event will be held rain or shine.

Rhea Richland Senior Neighbors are currently selling Teri Lynn Nuts at the center Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Steve Kelser, a volunteer with the SHIP program will be at Rhea Richland Senior Neighbors Center at 241 Alabama Ave. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, to help seniors with Medicare. Call Marilyn at 775-6776 to make an appointment.
