Have the band crank up the song “Scream Machine,” the crowd on its feet making every ounce of noise it could muster and have the game on the line with the defense on the field for a fourth down stand and it sent me back to the 1980s at Eagle Stadium on a Friday night.
I have to admit it, goosebumps ran through my already chilled body as I had flashbacks from 20-plus years ago when the Rhea County High School Eagles’ football team held the East Hamilton Hurricanes from scoring on their last drive and won the game 27-24 in a playoff-like atmosphere.
