The Four Seasons Garden Club met Tuesday evening, Oct. 1, at the home of Faith Young. The group gathered on the deck overlooking Richland Creek where each member was provided with a pumpkin and some tools for the purpose of learning to etch designs onto the pumpkins. Everyone enjoyed the fellowship and the activity produced many masterpieces.
Refreshments of pumpkin frozen yogurt, pumpkin muffins and apple cider were provided by hostesses Faith Young and Geneva Andrews, and Linda Blevins shared freshly roasted pumpkin seeds.
The business meeting was called to order by President Mary Beth Moore. Roll call was answered by eleven members. Among the topics discussed were the club’s participation in the recent birthday party at Life Care Nursing Home; the upcoming work day at the courthouse flower beds; the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs District III Membership Meeting in Dayton on Oct. 17, which several members will attend, and planning for next year’s celebration of the club’s 50th anniversary.
