The Rhea County High School Eagles’ football team improved to 6-1 on the season by smashing the Soddy-Daisy Trojans 56-20 on Friday, while totaling the highest offensive yardage amount of the season at 504 yards.
Eagles’ quarterback Austin Dotson contributed the majority of the yardage with his solid performance by completing 11-of-16 passes to four different receivers for 316 yards and five touchdowns. One of his biggest targets of the night was sophomore receiver Noel Patterson, who had three catches for three scores and 142 yards, all in the first half.
