I have had the opportunity to travel to the Holy Land and visit many of the holy sites. There are places I have visited more than once. One of my favorite areas is in the northern part of the West Bank around the Sea of Galilee.
There are many places and historical sites to see and to explore: Capernaum, Tiberius, Magdala, Tabga, Wadi Hamam and Yardenit. There are many churches to visit which remind us of specific events: Church of the Multiplication of Fishes and Loaves, Church of the Beatitudes, Church of Peter’s Primacy. Each church is built to remember a powerful moment in the life of Jesus. The Fishes and Loaves remember the feeding of the 5,000, Church of the Beatitudes is where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount and finally Peter’s Primacy is where Jesus and Peter had the conversation “Peter, do you love me?”
